When you take gardening classes with us you’ll learn two very important things. The first is how to garden here. Our climate, our soils, our pests and diseases, and much more are unique to the Gulf Coast. Most gardening advice is for further north and will not work here along the Gulf Coast. We’ll show you how to successfully garden here.

We’ll also show you how to garden with a lot less work. We’ll teach you how to eliminate the extensive weeding that is normally the most frustrating gardening chore. We’ll also teach you how to create beautiful rich soil without having to till or turn the soil. We’ll include tips and techniques that even an experienced gardener will use to make gardening much less time consuming and labor intensive.

Classes are taught by Renée Perry and Tom Garner of East Hill Edible Gardening.

Our basic organic gardening class which we have taught to well over 900 students is (now) called “Easy Gulf Coast Vegetable Gardening.” The class meets once for 2 hours and covers what you need to know to get started gardening in this area. Choose the morning or evening class time of your choice.
